American Kennel Club (AKC)
The AKC is the primary registry for purebred dogs in the United States. This site has information about different breeds and a listing of upcoming dog shows and events around the country. It is important to remember when considering the purchase of a purebred puppy that AKC registration is not an indication of the health or temperament of the puppy, it merely assures purebred parentage.
